We’re a female-led production company based in Manchester passionate about young stories & new talent across all genres.

We produce TV programmes, short form content and podcasts that aim to inspire, educate and bring as much joy as possible into our audience’s lives. Diversity and inclusiveness on and off screen are at our core and we thrive on working with brilliant people who all bring something different to the party.

Peggy Founders

We’re Ida Bruusgaard and Danni Davis, good friends since University and now experienced programme makers and idea developers. We embarked on our joint business adventure in June 2018 to make the content we’re most excited about and create the work culture we always wanted.

Ida Bruusgaard

Managing Director

Ida’s been in TV for over 18 years, working across popular factual and specialist factual production and development. She still loves the process of seeing a show through from idea to screen.

Ida has mainly worked in the UK, but spent two years in her native Norway as a producer Medieoperatørene, a prominent Oslo-based feature doc company. Here she secured a commission for a six part ob doc series about schizophrenia. Other credits include Channel 4’s ‘Sharon Horgan: How To Be Married’ and ‘How To Have A Midlife Crisis’ (Producer/Director, North One), ‘Phil’s Empty Homes Giveaway’ (Producer/Director, Raise the Roof) and BBC’s ‘Heir Hunters’ (Producer/Director, Flame TV).

Favourite Peggy moment: Bringing a bunch of British teens to the Scottish Highlands using my best Norwegian diplomacy skills to persuade them to put on enough thermals!

Danni Davis

Creative Director

Danni’s worked across factual and documentary production and development at leading indies and the BBC for over 16 years. She’s as excited as ever about new ideas and discovering new talent.

Her past credits include: 'The Island with Bear Grylls’ (Embedded Producer/Director, Shine TV), ‘The Hotel’ (Series 3, Series Director, Dragonfly TV) and ‘Bouncers’ (Producer/Director, Century Films), all for Channel 4 and for BBC3 ‘Laura Hall: My Battle With Booze’ (Producer/Director, BBC Wales) and ‘Sasha: Beauty Queen at 11’ (Producer/Director, North One TV). She’s also proud of producing the IVCA award-winning charity film Luke’s World (Private Equity Foundation/Maverick TV).

Favourite Peggy moment:  Getting nominated for a Children’s BAFTA for our first ever series. We didn’t win but feel really proud of the host Mimi and team for making an awesome series.

Why Peggy?

In case you were wondering where our name comes from, we’re inspired by some amazing Peggys. From the glass ceiling smashing Peggy Olson from Mad Men, the no-nonsense Peggy Mitchell from EastEnders to all the Grandma Peggys out there who battled against the odds, Peggy represents being forward-thinking, strong, optimistic, ambitious and not being afraid to stand out from the crowd.

Whether you’re a she, he or they, everyone can harness the Peggy spirit.

Peggy Makers
